Toques & ‘Tails was created to celebrate and promote the culinary and beverage talent of innovative restaurants in Denver.  Toques & ‘Tails aims to feature the culinary team from the same restaurant.

Three chefs, three beverage professionals and one bon vivant from around the country will be the judges, stay tuned for who are judges for 2014.

Come hang out with food and beverage professionals from Colorado and around the country will be ambassadors who will mingle with and engage the attendees to share their culinary experience as well as the food scene in their respective cities.

Eight restaurants from Denver will compete in this unique competition.  There will be two rounds of judging; the bartenders will be required to compete in a compulsory round, meaning, they will be asked to make a classic recipe and cocktail respectively.  The second round will be the food and beverage pairing round.  The culinary team will be judged on one dish and one cocktail pairing.  There will be a judges winner and a People’s Choice Winner.  The categories for professional judging will be:

  • compulsory cocktail
  • best dish
  • best cocktail
  • best dish & cocktail pairing

The People’s choice will be:

  • best dish
  • best cocktail
  • best dish & cocktail pairing

Guests will be able to walk around the venue trying the food and cocktails from each of the eight restaurants.

The event will take place on Thursday May 22, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm MST at Cassleman’s Bar & Venue located at 2620 Walnut Street Denver, CO.
